It’s the holiday season and if there is a gearhead in your family, you know how tough it can be find a really unique gift that they’ll be crazy about.  Finding gifts for automobile enthusiasts can be a challenging task, take me for example: I consider myself a jack of all trades when it comes to the automobile world; I don’t limit myself to obsessing over just one make, or genre.  I love them all, American muscle, Japanese tuners, British roadsters and everything in between.  Over the years I have collected a myriad of posters, models, tools, and a few books.  Often times I fear the people will shy away from getting me more when the birthdays and holidays come around because they don’t want to get me something that I already have!  It’s a valid concern.  Others steer clear of the books because they assume that they would be filled with boring information.  The latter is most certainly not true.

My wonderful wife recently hit the jackpot for my birthday.  After tearing the rapping paper away and cutting through the tape of the cardboard box with my trusty Leatherman I was presented with wonderfully thick copy of THE COMPLETE BOOK OF SHELBY AUTOMOBILES, an absolute must in the library of a gearhead.  Colin Comer’s book on Shelby’s is a 257 page master piece of high quality photo’s and oodles of fascinating information on America’s premier sports car company.  Shelby’s have been among some of the most revered cars  ever to grace the road or track, so if you’re in the market for a good holiday gift for your gearhead be sure to keep this book in mind!
